From high end name brand clothing to captivating souvenirs, jewelry, perfumes, art, paintings, real Cuban cigars and the lowest prices you will ever see on alcohol and much more.
The official currency for the Dutch side is the Nederland’s Antillean guilder and for the French side it is Euro (€). The exchange rates changes from time to time, $1 is ANG.1.80 and €1 is $1.20. Both sides accept the American US dollars and credit cards. There will be a small service charge apply to all credit cards, please verify with your bank and let them know that you will be traveling. The chauffeur will point out some of the best places to shop on the island, drop you off and arrange a pick-up time at each stop that you want.
Shopping on the French side you will get a chance to feel exquisite in style with the little French boutiques that will make you feel like you are in Paris, then try the best French pastries that will make you go ooooh la la, visit our local art gallery incase you want to purchase local paintings, you can even climb the highest fort to get some pictures to remember.
Shopping in Philipsburg is second to none. There is nowhere in the world that gives you this atmosphere are experience like Front street and back street. These two one way streets is a shoppers haven, you will get to mingle with the locals because shopping is a hobby for most. Besides shopping some of our highligths in philipsburg are; Amsterdam cheese and liquor store where you can sample free cheese, our museum and the star wars gallery to see the original star wars movie suits. You can also visit the home of our national drink, guava berry Rhum at the head quarters on front street "Guava Berry Emporium" and buy some bottles as a great gift and souvenir. After shopping you can choose to spend time at the Great Bay Beach that is located on the board walk parallel to front street. This beach is voted by many locals as their favorite, this beach has tons of local and international beach bars and restaurants to choose from, while over looking the calm waters of the caribbean sea with a nice view of the cruise ships. You can choose to take a swim or have lunch on the beach at any local restaurant or try your luck in one of our casinos to win more money to do more shopping.
